Reading wrist watches
Reading watches can be very difficult for low vision patients. They probably own beautiful watches but cannot read them. Fortunately there are some wonderful options available. One approach is to use a watch with a larger contrasting, colored face. The faces come in both black and white. Many people prefer a black face with white numbers. These watches range from $16 to $60. Another approach is a talking watch. It is hard to believe but these talking watches can be purchased for as little as $11 and they even come in five different languages. Very stylish talking watches only cost $50. Can you imagine a better gift to give a low vision patient for a birthday or holiday gift?
As the ad says, while the watch may cost $50, its value, in terms of providing independence and dignity, .... priceless.
